I painted "Bloom Again" to process the delicate, quiet space of transition—the threshold between letting go of a deeply cherished country, Vietnam and finding my footing once more in my place of origin, Singapore.
Reentry is rarely a simple homecoming. It carries the emotional weight of disengagement: the bittersweet untethering from a land, a community, and a life built over many years, alongside the subtle shock of stepping back into a familiar world that kept moving in my absence.
Through expressive acrylic layers and deliberate textures, Bloom Again holds the honest friction of reentry shock and the quiet longing for grounding. Above all, it carries my own aspirations for this next chapter—a visual prayer and a reminder to myself that purpose, connection, and life can flourish anew, even after the closing of a profound era.
