Old Hanoi houses, quiet streets and people riding on the bicycle depicts the old charm of Hanoi that has disappeared due to modernisation. This is a reproduction of a piece of painting I bought in 2001 when my family first moved to Hanoi. I was captured by the use of just a few colors to depict the streets of Hanoi in the 70s. Streets were peaceful. Hawkers selling live chickens. You don’t need to look left and right just to cross the streets. People were friendly.
